Hello Everyone,

We have CE7.2 in our landscape and accordingly we are working on NWDS 7.2.

I am trying to logon to NWDI to import track. Whenever I am importing  the track  the first time it gets imported, however subsequent attempts to logon the same track fail with the message "some infrastructure servers cannot be contacted".

I have tried the following but nothing seems to work:

1)i have configured sld  and also have entry in host file

2)I have imported the nwdi certificate in sld.

3) i have increased the read timeout  and connect timeout of the server

4)I have successfully accessed the sld from the browser.

5)I have made direct connection to the internet under network connection.

Still I am facing the issue of first time successful track import and subsequent attempts of logging on to the same track as failure.

Please help.

PS: I have tried several times with new workspace too, still i am facing the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

I need to connect to UME API through a WebService and authenticate the user.

I created a EJB module and exposed it as a Webservice.

The code i have written in Bean class is as follows:

We have NWDI 7.0 with multiple JDKs supporting 7.3 and 7.0 tracks.

In CBS Visual Admin, we have default path set for JDK 1.4

But when we Create Project in NWDS for 7.0 track, we are getting Unsupported major.minor version 49.0 error.

Please help me how we can resolve this issue.

I need to migrate a custom developed AS Java job (extends MDBJobImplementation, EJB based) to the NWDI environment of a customer. So I created an EJB project in NWDS and also created en EAR wrapper project while doing, to be able to deploy the job:

At the end I have an EJB project containing the job and an EAR wrapper project for that one, so far so good. Since I need both in the development track of our customer I needed to migrate both to DC's. While I didnt face any problems for migrating the EJB, Im not able to do so for the wrapper. I simply dont see any entries I can proceed if I choose "Convert Project to Development Component..." from the context menu of the EAR wrapper project. This makes it impossible to deploy the job itself and is of course not expedient.

I guess its a quite common task resp problem, but I didnt faced it for myself till now and not able to find any hints on SCN. Could somebody help me out please? Thanks,

I am new to NWDI and NWDS. We configured NWDI track (CMS transports) for SAP PO NW BPM Process in NWDS.

We created a software component in SLD and configured it on NWDI track. We completed development of NW BPM process in NWDS and deployed it in our development envrionment.

Could you please let me know what are steps to move our transports to higher envrionments.

Hi All - I have installed PO 7.4. CTS+ has been configured and working. We do not have NWDI. Instead we are using NWDS to create ....

I am not able to connect to CTS using NWDS to create transports? I am sure there should be some settings that I need to enable to connect to.

Using NWDS I am able to connect to  integration builder but unable to connect to CTS. What am I missing?

NWDS ->  Process Integration --> open CTS organizer I am getting error " CTS Organizer not available on this server". I am new on NWDS.

I am creating a project from NWDI dev track.

I have imported track from SLD and I want to create project from one of the DC.

After successful build. It's not asking to change the perspective. WD DC is showing in Navigator explorer only not in the WD explorer.

In NWDS 7.3 I want to add an R/3 Configuration.

Windows -> Preferences -> Destination Configuration -> R/3 Configuration -> Add ...

The popup occurs, but within the 'load balancing' tab the System list is empty.

How can I configure available systems?

hi experts ,

i have new enhancement in a dc , which belongs to an sca file ****Dev, now there are other 10dcs in this sca file, and when i asked for current version of the sca file in proudction the basis team had given thebelow screen shot .

now i have to sync my sca file in nwds to this version , im not getting options to do so, but in a particular dc selecting a particular java or jsp file im able to see the same in version graph and also sync that resource to version i desire. , but i wanted to sync my entire sca file to that version so that when my change is done and on moving to prod we will be moving this entire sca and not single dc where i had done my change ..

help me out in syncing my sca file to the appropriate version.

We have PO 7.3 EHP1 SP04 system. (PO - Process Orchestation Single Stack Java System)

I have installed NWDS 7.3 - EHP1 - SP04 version in my system.

(File : nwds-extsoa-7.3-EHP1-SP04-PAT0005-win32.zip)

I have designed NWBPM in NWDS.

When I try to add my PO System in Window --> Preferences --> SAP As Java, after 1 minutes, it displays a message "The following SAP instance cannot be accessed at present.".

Then I tried to add through MMC. Window --> Show View --> Other --> Management Console. Here also, it displays the same message.

I tried to check Network Connections : Window --> Preferences --> General --> Network Connections. Our PO host is not added. All the Proxy Entries and Proxy By Pass Entries are unchecked.

Then I see the .log file in the .metadata folder, the log is given below.

I could not understand what is this error message.

I referred this thread. (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3243496). Do I need to install sapjvm6.msi. I don't know this installtion will help to fix this.

We are facing weird issue while login NWDI from NWDS .We used to access NWDI via sld .

Now issue is , when I try to import configuration from sld , NWDS ask to login sld , here I am able to login successfully. Now after logged in , NWDS show all available tracks , when I select any track and click finish , NWDS again ask to login NWDI and DTR , here I am able to login DTR url but not in NWDI. Both url are same except DTR at end in DTR url. Also I tried login with same url and credential in browser and able to login successfully. I am attaching screenshot what exactly I am seeing . Kindly let me know anything else needed from my side. Thanks in advance.

Is this build variant sufficient in NWDI track ( 74 track in NWDI 7.01)  for NW74 code to run on NWDI7.01 ; or we have to actually install a JRE1.6 somehwere in NWDI / NWDI’s CBS ?

I am  getting below exception while releasing activity from NWDS.

There are 2 predecessor activities which were not released due to some reason.Now if I am releasing current changes it is taking predecessor too and giving exception.  we are unable to find out that are we getting exception because of predecessor activities or is there any other issue.

Is there any way to delete those predessor activities?

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement where we need to move our code which we have currently in a .war file to NWDI . We need to create NWDI Tracks and SC's as going forward this will help us in the version management and also we do not loose changes if we upgrade our application.

Can someone please suggest how can this be achieved.

I'm new to creation of new track and SCs.

We are currently using an SLD development track (XYR4) which has SCs with version 4. It has SCs and Dev't Components on it which are working fine in production environment. We have a new project which requires us to create a new SLD track (XYR5). The XYR5 will need to have the latest copy of the SCs and DCs of XYR4.

What we have done so far are the following:

1. Created the XYR5 track in our SLD.

2. Copied the SCs from XYR4 to XYR5 track but the SC versions in XYR5 is 4.0 not 5.0.

What we need to do:

3. Copy the DCs from XYR4 to XYR5 track.

Questions:

• Should the product version be 5.0 for the copied SCs in XYR5 instead of 4.0? What is the difference between incrementing the SC version and retaining the current version?
• What is the best approach for copying the DCs of XYR4 to XYR5 track in their respective SCs?

I have been looking for documentations/blogs but the one I found so far was about moving the DCs to a new SC. But I'm not sure if I can follow it as I'm wondering if there could be other better steps than that. I also have a doubt that moving the DCs could cause changes in the current track (XYR4) which I should not be modifying.

BTW, we are currently using NW7.2 but with the new track it will be used under an upgraded NW7.4.

I am currently working for a client who has some stringent HA requirements for up and coming releases. In a nutshell they are; fully resilient, instant mean time to repair, on Active Active, And we need some help in understanding what can be done within the constraints of their available infrastructure services.

The client is using Oracle Data Guard + other measures to provide HA throughout the stack and would like to run all SAP component Active Active. However, we understand this is not possible for ASCS/SCS, which are designed to run Active Passive. We also understood ASCS/SCS require hardware clustering for automatic failover. Unfortunately hardware clustering is not something available to the client for various reasons, thus, failover of ASCS/SCS would have to be manual, which is not acceptable.

This point is the crux of my question; is it possible to run a full Active Active including ASCS/SCS? Or can the ASCS/SCS failover being automated without hardware clustering?

The client currently has NW 7.31 ABAP and 7.4 JAVA for different software components and would like HA available on both.

We have upgraded our portal from NW7.02 > NW74. All custome components were deleted. Now we need to migrate our custom components to NW74. We have the correct NWDS level 731 and we're getting ready to create a NW74 track to import our components into so we can migrate them to NW74. Our NWDI is still 702. Is there a document that talks about this specific process? Is this the best way to do NW702 > NW74?

64 bit version of NWDS 7.31 is available or not? I have downloaded 32 bit version, file name is "nwds-extsoa-7.3-EHP1-SP05-PAT0002-win32". Also is it required to install NWDS 7.31 using update site because i am able to download NWDS 7.31 from service market place.
